Impact Calculator
Estimate the market impact of your trades before executing.
The Impact Calculator helps you estimate how a trade could affect price and market cap based on current pool depth before you execute it. It's accessible from the Strategies page via the calculator icon.
How to Use
- Go to your profile's Strategies tab
- Click the calculator icon next to the Create Strategy button
- Configure the scenario and review the results
Configuration
Trade Side
Select Buy or Sell to simulate the direction of the trade.
Trade Size
Enter the size of the trade you want to simulate. Select the unit: USD, Quote/Native (e.g. SOL, USDC, WETH), or Token.
Market Flow
Simulate additional market pressure alongside your trade:
- Negative (%) — Additional flow offsets your simulated trade
- Positive (%) — Additional flow moves in the same direction as your simulated trade
- 0% — No additional market pressure, just your trade
Use the slider or type a value directly. The slider gradient goes from red (negative) to green (positive).
Results
Once calculated, the Impact Calculator shows:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Token Flow | How many tokens move in/out (shown with +/- prefix) |
| Quote Flow | How much quote asset (e.g. SOL, WETH) moves in/out |
| Current Price | The token's current price in USD |
| Current Market Cap | The token's current market cap |
| Price Delta | How much the price changes (absolute and percentage) |
| Market Cap Delta | How much the market cap changes (absolute and percentage) |
| Final Price | Projected price after the trade |
| Final Market Cap | Projected market cap after the trade |
Positive deltas show a green up arrow, negative deltas show a red down arrow.
If the trade size may be too large for current liquidity, a warning is displayed and the estimate may be less reliable.
Use Cases
- Size your trades — Check how much a $10K buy would move the price before executing
- Plan DCA amounts — Find the right trade size that moves the price without excessive impact
- Evaluate counter-trade settings — Understand the impact of different capture percentages
- Scenario planning — Model how your trades perform under different market flow conditions
